Story Time in the Garden Series

This free public event features songs, stories, and arts and crafts that are designed to teach children the importance of developing healthy eating habits.

What to Expect at Story Time in the Garden

The 2014 Story Time in the Garden series will feature 30 minutes of family friendly activities. Activities will vary by session, but include storytelling, sing-a-longs, games, and arts and crafts. All activities are designed specifically for children between the ages of 3 and 8, and will build literary and language skills while teaching the importance of healthy eating.

Story Time in the Garden sessions are held in an outdoor garden setting. Children are encouraged to roam around and explore the gardens after listening to the stories and playing games.

Upcoming 2014 Story Time in the Garden Series

Story Time in the Garden series is held on the fourth Saturday of every month in The Great Park. The Great Park is located in Irvine, California. Activities begin at 10:00 a.m.

  • Pickin’ Peas
  • On the Farm
  • The Giant Carrot

Stories told at the March 22, 2014 include:

  • Jody’s Beans
  • Jack and the Beanstalk
  • One Bean
