Staging Your Home for the Fall

Take advantage of the fall season when staging your home!

Although it took a while for fall to get started here in Southern California, we’ve all been forcing it to come early for weeks with seasonal décor and pumpkin-flavored everything! Clearly, even in our area where we don’t experience a significant change in seasons, we still want it to feel like fall.

If you’re trying to sell your home, that’s good news for you! You can leverage our love for fall when staging your home to captivate more buyers. Here are a few tips on how to do just that!

  • Fall Cleaning: We all know about spring cleaning, but that doesn’t mean you should leave your home without a good clean the rest of the year. If you’re getting ready to show your home to buyers, let them know it can feel fresh in any season by giving it a good deep clean and de-clutter session.
  • Get Seasonal, Not Personal: Make sure buyers can picture themselves, not just your family, in your home by taking down any personal décor. Replace it with seasonal pieces. For example, swap out the collection of family photographs on your mantle with an awesome autumn display of white mini pumpkins, pinecones, and candles!
  • Fight Fall’s Lack Of Light: The days are becoming shorter and shorter, but no home has ever looked good in the dark. Counteract the lessening light this season by adding lamps to dark corners and throwing open all your window coverings.
