New Openings

Several new places have opened up to give you the finest taste of foods and beverages. New openings include the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Westcliff Plaza Shopping Center on Newport Beach and The Seventh Tea Bar at the OC Mix in Costa Mesa. Enjoy fine teas and specialty coffees at these locations.

Under New Management

Asian coastal cuisine restaurant Starfish is now under new management as the restaurant hopes to entice customers through their doors with large portions at low prices. You may have also noticed that French 75 at Laguna Beach has vanished. In its place is now the new Teema Tavern and Grill as with the new name also heralds a new menu filled with upscale meals. This restaurant will open in April 2013.

Wine Education And Tastings

The Old Vine Cafe will be holding wine education classes on February 25 as participants will enjoy the taste of fine French wines at the "An Introduction To French Wines" wine class. Classes will be held at The Camp for $40. On February 27, people can enjoy a winemaker dinner at the Broadway By Amar Santana. Enjoy the wine tastings along with a three-course meal.

Anniversaries, Special Events And Closings

Sadly, not every restaurant will keep its doors open forever. The 35-year-old restaurant, Mr. Stox, is closing its doors for good in March. But don’t let this stop you from seeking out other dining experiences, especially during the fifth annual Orange County Restaurant Week where 100 restaurants will be participating to offer special menu items to customers. Other events include the 5th Annual Oscar Event at the Kimera Restaurant on February 24, as this prestigious event will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association as guests can walk down the red carpet.
