Opening of Newport Beach Civic Center and Park: June 29, 2013

This summer will be an exciting one in Newport Beach, CA. The sparkling new Newport Beach Civic Center and Park project is expected to be completed in late June and serve as a signal of the continued strength and growth of our area.

When completed, the project will have a 16 acre park which will include not only a dog park but a civic lawn for outdoor events. It will have spaces for art shows, walking trails, a restored wetlands, and public restrooms.

The park is just the beginning. The project also includes an expansion of the Newport Beach Central Library that will connect the library with the civic center. This huge 17,000 square foot expansion means expanded children’s programs, sound and video rooms, and even a café.

A 450 car parking structure will accommodate employees and visitors.

The project also includes a new community room, new city office building, new city council chambers and an emergency preparedness center. It is an exciting time for those of us in Newport Beach, both for the employees and for those of us who will use the services that the new project will offer.

As a real estate agent in the area, Judy Qualls Prudential California Realty welcomes the new park and facility and look forward to meeting our friends and associates at events held there.
