CMA… Sounds sort of like the Country Music Awards, right?

Well, for sellers a CMA can be just as exciting at times. CMA stands for Comparable Market Analysis. And, in the simplest of terms, a CMA is a real estate professional’s opinion of the market value of any piece of available real estate as deciphered through the specs of recent sales of comparable properties. What a CMA is NOT, is a written real estate appraisal.

Homeowners should stay continually in tune with the fluid real estate market of their neighborhoods and communities, and be aware of how the fluidity of those markets effect the perceived value of their own home.
