Great Park Jack-O-Lantern Begins Countdown to 6th Annual Great Park Pumpkin Harvest

A large orange balloon known by Irvine, California residents as the Great Park Jack-O-Lantern was recently launched into the skies above Orange County, signaling residents that the countdown to the 6th annual Great Park Pumpkin Harvest has begun.

As Halloween approaches this fall, residents are looking forward to the festival, now in its sixth year. The harvest festival features a puppet show, carnival games and a petting zoo. There will be fun for the whole family, and children aged 12 and younger can get a free pumpkin from the Great Park Pumpkin Patch.

Attendees are encouraged to bring canned foods for the Great Park Food Drive, to benefit the Orange County Food Bank and the Second Harvest Food Bank.

The free event takes place on Saturday, October 26 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Parking costs $10.
