As Sales Increase, Sellers Market is Developing

Is there a sellers’ market developing? It certainly seems like the indicators are there.

According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), real estate sales in January were up in every region of the country…except California. That doesn’t mean that real estate in our state isn’t selling. A closer look will tell you the reason sales are not higher like in other areas is that there is such a limited inventory of properties for sale right now in our state. A real estate agent can’t sell houses that aren’t on the market after all. To put it bluntly we need more properties to sell so we can take advantage of this developing sellers’ market.

The point is if you have been sitting on a property waiting for demand to increase it has. We are once again seeing homes get multiple offers and that friends, is a sure sign of a developing sellers’ market .
